Pitusa

 

Borja Oliván created this animated collage using different techniques to capture Petusa’s physical form. Although Pitusa is an androgynous god with phalluses sprouting from her head: she’s more of a state of consciousness, balance and god of sexuality in the most opened way. This piece is accompanied by a lullaby-esque tune and a poem, written by Siafa Manequi. 

Siafa Manequi uses words to convey Borja’s experiences with Pitusa— from their first meeting to Pitusa’s messages. Bellow, is the accompanying poem:

PITUSA!

Pituse always comes to me, 

flaunting her phallus hair.

When she appeared to me in Mexico, 

She taught me about sex & the power of vibrations.

Today, she teaches me about spirituality & consciousness.

Below the red moon’s head,

she anoints my inner-man with knowledge.

"It's all about balance", she says in a calm voice.

Suddenly, everything becomes clearer

& I dive down beneath the surface to find balance.

PITUSA! (Spanish)

 

Pitusa siempre viene a mi,

haciendo alarde de su cabello falo.

Cuando ella se me apareció en México,

Ella me enseñó sobre el sexo y el poder de las vibraciones.

Hoy, ella me enseña sobre espiritualidad y conciencia.

 

Debajo de la cabeza de la luna roja,

ella unge mi hombre interior con conocimiento.

"Se trata de equilibrio", dice con voz tranquila.

De repente, todo se vuelve más claro.

& Me sumerjo bajo la superficie para encontrar el equilibrio.
